So Sorry!
I've neglected my poor food blog after only 4 recipes and a whole year and 1 month! A lot went on in that one year and one month and I can't guarantee that I won't neglect this blog again but I promise to try and pop in every now and then with a food post. I started WW and so I'll be posting alot of recipes that I think are actually good on here too! So let's try this again! Oh and here's a pretty picture of something I made a few weeks ago! I don't remember where I got the recipe but when I find it I'll post it because it was simply delish!

Irish Pasties.
On my other blog I posted about how much I love Ireland (even though I haven't been, yet) and all things Irish! So when I came across this recipe from Favorite Family Recipes I just had to try it!
This is what you'll need:
1 Lb. ground beef
This is what you'll need:
Recipe:
1 onion, diced
1 tbsp. butter1 Lb. ground beef
3-4 potatoes, thinly sliced
1-2 tsp. garlic salt (or to taste)
1-2 Tbsp. garlic powder
black pepper, to taste
2-3 Tbsp. parsley flakes
1 box pie crusts (should be the box with 2 crusts in it)
brown gravy (can be the packaged kind)
1-2 Tbsp. garlic powder
black pepper, to taste
2-3 Tbsp. parsley flakes
1 box pie crusts (should be the box with 2 crusts in it)
brown gravy (can be the packaged kind)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
My thinly sliced potatoes. I actually cut them in 1/2 and probably could've gotten away with just using two instead of three because they were big potatoes.
Saute the onion with a tbsp. of butter until the onions are soft and clear. Then add the ground beef.
Once the beef is browned, add the potatoes, garlic salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and parsley. Cook until the potatoes are soft but still have a crunch to them. Afterwards, place the potato/meat mixture on half of the pie crust and then fold over and create a seal. (I used just plain Pillsbury seamless dough and well the first batch didn't work out for me. Next time I'll use the pie crusts.) Cut slits at the top of the dough and place in oven for 10-12 minutes.
Voila! (See what I was saying about that first batch!) I served this with a packaged gravy, which was delish! Definitely something I'll make again and be sure to check out Favorite Family Recipes for some other awesome dishes!

Coca-Cola!
Last night I made this absolutely yummy chicken with some very interesting ingredients! At first I was kinda weary and hesitant but I'm glad I made it! I got the recipe from Wearing Gackey's Apron. My camera died so no picture but if you follow the link you can see the picture Miss Brittany has up. My chicken came out looking pretty much the same!
The recipe is as follows:
With the chicken in the pan sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides. Combine the ketchup, cola, and sauce and pour over chicken. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.
Changes:
Some of the changes I made was I used chicken tenders, added a about a half a tablespoon more of the sauce and baked it at 350 for 30 minutes! YUMMY!
The recipe is as follows:
- Chicken breasts
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 1 cup of coca-cola
- 2 tbsp. of worcheshire sauce
With the chicken in the pan sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides. Combine the ketchup, cola, and sauce and pour over chicken. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.

It's Simply, Delish!
Why am I starting a whole new blog devoted to something I once ran from, cooking? Well, because, it's become a hobby, an output for stressful days, an opportunity to taste different things, and work with different foods! It's a new love and because it's a new love I'm willing to take on another blog and add, as I go, all the lovely and not-so lovely foods. I will warn you, though, I love sweets and it will probably take up a majority of the blog! I have a sweet tooth like no one's business and it's probably part of my weight downfall (ha!) but that's another issue for probably another blog, but I'll try to add dinner, lunch, breakfast in there too! I've also added, in the side bar, a list of my favorite, read everyday food blogs! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Lastly, I'll try to do a weekly menu, but I can't guarantee that I'll always have them! Hope you enjoy the blog and Bon Appetit!
